I'm Such A Liar

I

wish I could turn back time to
when simply seeing you

wouldn’t

send the butterfly fairies in my stomach fluttering
or discovering secrets that i didn’t

know

about you couldn’t possibly feel as if i unearthed
a hidden treasure of enchantment.

if

love was to swallow your smiles,
and breathe in your miracles, than

i

can taste your empty promises on my tongue,
and feel your ignorant whispers on my skin.

could

love prevail? is it something only found in fairytales,
where make-believe suddenly becomes something we

call

home; because such child’s play possesses the ability to
divert our attention away from the harshness of reality.

this

infatuation, of all things,
simply cannot, should not, would not be

love.

(Right?)

He’s Not Going To Fall For Your Sly Tricks (I Hope)

I see the way she looks at you from under her batting eyelashes,
the way that coy smile seems plastered onto her face,
and the way she twirls her hair around her finger(just wishing it was you).

Please tell me you’re just as uncomfortable with this as I am.

I’ve Come To Learn That Your Pretty Words Are Often Transparent, But Beautiful All The Same

I steal glances like you steal hearts.
We’re just a couple of thieves.

But babe, you’ve been in the buisness for so much longer than I have.
You know every curve of this game,
where as I carry the instruction manual in my back pocket,
and still manage to get lost.

Remember December? (Throwback)

When I said Forever, I meant it theoretically.
When you spoke of Infinity, you were talking business.

(I’m beginning to see how this misunderstanding started).

So, This Is What Desperation Tastes Like

The biggest slap to my face
is how you swear you’d always catch me,
but how you just watch me fall time and time again.

I'd Much Rather You Yell

You taught me to love noise.
But now your lips teach me,
Silence speaks volumes.

He’s Almost As Awesome As Chocolate~

So it’s exam week, and I’m pretty sure every high school student out there wishes the person who started exams were still alive so everyone could throw rotten eggs at them. I’m no exception.

I had my english exam today, and it wasn’t pretty. There were only 8 questions, and it took me an hour and ten minutes to finish the first four. So obviously I didn’t finish. I was pretty upset about it too, until my best friend, Maggie, dragged me to the mall, and bought me a Beta Fighting fish to cheer me up. She named him Danni after Danny Bolen in Desperate Housewives (his real name’s Beau Mirchoff).

So I walk home, Danni inside a plastic bag, and his tank in my backpack. I march through the front doors of my house and the first words out of my mouth are: “Mother, we now have a new addition to the family. His name is Danni.” My mom of course, flipped out (not because I brought a living thing home, but because it was a male fish and any male fish named Danni with an I would have an identity crisis), but I explained to her that it was a belated birthday gift from Maggie. She found this as a completely understandable excuse and continued cooking, which concerns me because my birthday’s in June. To be honest, I could care less, as long as I get to keep Danni. :]

Your 5:
1. I’m completely obsessed with Desperate Housewives. I know it sounds totally lame. I stopped watching it after the first season, but I just started again, and you will not believe how twisted and messed up the storyline is. It is so addicting.
2. I don’t accept part time friends. You’re either my friend full time, or your not my friend at all. I’m not here for your convience. (why not try a hooker?)
3. It bugs me when people don’t try to look good because “no one’s going to care what I wear” or “the person I like isn’t going to see me” Well no shit. No one cares about you because you don’t try. Honestly, if you’re not going try, than don’t talk to me until you do. I like people who try. (I don’t associate myself with people who don’t).
4. I’m not belimic. Just because I’m skinny, it doesn’t mean I stick fingers down my throat to avoid gaining pounds. (That’s just sad).
5. I don’t like pears. They taste funny.

We’re Just Gonna Have to Learn to Live

apart.

(Because obviously, you don’t want any part of me anymore.)

Oh Silly Heart, He Never Spoke of the Word Forever

I’ve been waiting, but tonight the stars refuse to shine.
I’ve been searching, but silly me couldn’t see the signs.

Now in your hasten pace,
you’ve constructed
a hodgepodge of emotion.

You promised me you’d learn
how to work a glue-gun,
but I watch you with
your precarious fingers and
I wonder if it is possible to fix
such dilapidate pieces with
such whimsical hands.

I came to you like a torn
still frame
blown to you by the wind
ripped. tattered. cracked.

You took one look at me.
One real look at me.
and you froze
with terror
with uncertainty
with (out) love (of any kind).

Suddenly you stopped and
your eyes shred me to pieces
(tenshundredsthousandsmillionsofpieces)
and on a one blustery day,
you simply blew me away
from you.

Forever.
