I’ve been waiting, but tonight the stars refuse to shine.
I’ve been searching, but silly me couldn’t see the signs.
Now in your hasten pace,
you’ve constructed
a hodgepodge of emotion.
You promised me you’d learn
how to work a glue-gun,
but I watch you with
your precarious fingers and
I wonder if it is possible to fix
such dilapidate pieces with
such whimsical hands.
I came to you like a torn
still frame
blown to you by the wind
ripped. tattered. cracked.
You took one look at me.
One real look at me.
and you froze
with terror
with uncertainty
with (out) love (of any kind).
Suddenly you stopped and
your eyes shred me to pieces
(tenshundredsthousandsmillionsofpieces)
and on a one blustery day,
you simply blew me away
from you.
Forever.
